Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our dynamic team. As the Head Server, you will lead the serving staff, manage guest interactions, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and service quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the dining area, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor serving staff on best practices in hospitality and guest services. Manage table assignments and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Uphold food safety standards by monitoring food handling practices and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive atmosphere. Perform basic math calculations for bill processing and ensure accurate transactions. Collaborate with management to implement new menu items or changes based on guest feedback.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of serving protocols. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during peak hours. Strong guest service skills, with the ability to create a welcoming environment for all patrons. Experience in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales. Basic culinary knowledge is advantageous, along with kitchen experience to facilitate communication with kitchen staff. A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing outstanding service at all times.
