Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, demonstrating a passion for guest services and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As the Head Server, you will lead the serving team, ensuring efficient service while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the dining area, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor new serving staff on best practices in hospitality, food safety, and guest engagement. Manage table assignments and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and anticipating needs. Implement upselling techniques to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as necessary. Collaborate with management to develop menus and special promotions based on guest feedback.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a restaurant setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and culinary practices. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tips. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding guest services. Experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen operations is highly desirable.
