F&I Group has an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing business. This role has been created due to continued growth across the organisation. The business operates throughout the North East and Yorkshire, delivering commercial new build, fit-out, and residential schemes.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the construction industry and be confident working across multiple disciplines. We are looking for someone with a practical and hands-on approach to safety--someone who can work collaboratively to identify solutions and support the successful delivery of our projects.
About the Role:
The successful candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a combination of qualities including:
Minimum 12 months' experience in a health & safety role
Understanding of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and associated H&S legislation
NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety
Previous experience within the construction industry
Strong IT skills and excellent written and verbal communication
Full UK driving licence
Training delivery qualification (preferred but not essential)
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include all aspects of health & safety management, including:
Promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business
Liaising with department heads and site teams to support safe working practices
Reviewing and maintaining company safety systems and recommending improvements
Attending design, project, and employee consultation meetings
Assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Pre-Construction Information, and Construction Phase Plans
Conducting safety inspections on sites and office premises, including monthly reporting
Completing accident and incident investigations
Delivering company inductions and in-house training
