Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting or within home care environments. This position requires a commitment to supporting individuals in their daily activities while promoting their dignity and independence.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to dietary needs and preferences. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to track residents' progress and needs. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff members regarding the health and wellbeing of residents. Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff.

Skills

Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with residents and team members. Strong IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and collaborate with colleagues. Driving skills are advantageous for those involved in home care duties requiring travel between clients' homes. Experience or knowledge of care home settings is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is a plus, ensuring tailored support for each individual's needs.
