We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals of all ages, including elderly care, dementia care, overnight care, live-in care, palliative care and care for those with physical disabilities, mental health difficulties and sensory impairments.
Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Duties
Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in mobility and transferring safely from one location to another.
Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary, ensuring dietary needs are met.
Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to track patient progress and needs.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient status.
Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Engage in meaningful conversations with patients to enhance their emotional well-being.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.
Skills
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
Experience in home care or care home settings is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation electronically.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting patients when necessary.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial attributes for success in this role.
Driver- UK Full License required
Pay: Is open to discussion dependant upon experience.
