Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those they care for.

Duties

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help in the preparation and serving of meals, adhering to individual dietary requirements. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation, updating records as necessary. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Participate in training sessions to enhance your IT skills relevant to patient management systems. Drive patients to appointments or social activities when required, ensuring their comfort during transportation. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home or during home visits.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Familiarity with care plans and patient documentation will be advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English are essential for this role. A valid driving licence is desirable for those required to transport patients.
