Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in the home. Your primary focus will be to assist individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and dignity. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to quality care, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Duties

Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients in following their care plans and maintaining their health and wellbeing. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates on patient status. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to nursing staff. Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Engage patients in social activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the care environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate in Welsh is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is advantageous. A genuine desire to help others and provide high-quality care. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
