Crossgate Care Home is seeking to recruit a Care Assistant to join our team and provide care and support to residents living within our Home.

The role of a Care Assistant is to give direct patient care as directed by a trained nurse and support the resident in his/her plan of care.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Assist residents with all aspects of personal care e.g. washing and dressing Assist residents with mobility - including moving and handling equipment Assist residents with eating and drinking, communication and joining in social activities Complete all documentation as requested by the manager/nurse Maintain a clean and safe environment within the nursing home Ensure all policies and guidelines are followed by all staff members Act as a mentor to all new care assistants and ensure they are working to their role Attend all in house and external training as required Report any issues or changes in a residents condition to the nurse in charge
