We are seeking compassionate, dedicated Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our care team. As an HCA, you will play a vital role in supporting residents or patients with their daily needs, promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in people's lives through high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Support residents with meals and hydration, ensuring individual dietary needs are met.
Help individuals maintain as much independence as possible, encouraging participation in daily activities and routines.
Observe and report any changes in the physical or emotional condition of residents to senior staff.
Assist with the accurate recording of care notes, observations, and other documentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in accordance with infection control and health and safety standards.
Offer emotional support and companionship to residents or patients, helping reduce loneliness and isolation.
Escort individuals to appointments or assist with mobility within the home or facility.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Follow all safeguarding protocols and report any concerns promptly.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Genuine desire to care for others and improve their quality of life.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, patient, empathetic, and respectful of individual rights and choices.
Basic understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Right to work in the UK.
Willingness to undergo or provide a valid enhanced DBS check.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a care or healthcare setting.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Training in moving and handling, basic life support, or safeguarding.
