Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily activities such as eating, mobility, and social engagement. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident. Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in condition to nursing staff. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care home environment. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is advantageous. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals is essential.
