We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both residents and staff. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining their dignity while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of care plans and report any changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team. Engage residents in social activities to enhance their well-being and quality of life. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or training sessions. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide personalised support to residents. A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the service needs. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations.
