Health Care Assistant


Cedars Care Group is a family run company with nearly 20 years of experience in Nursing, Dementia and Elderly care and has 4 boutique homes across the UK.
We are looking for Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly residential Dementia care home in Southport. At the last CQC inspection our Cedar Grange Home was given an "Outstanding" in the "responsive" category and a "Good" overall rating. Requirements:


36 hours per week, 12-hour shift patterns 8pm to 8am to include a share of some weekends so you will need to be flexible.
To do this job, a passion for care is a must. You do not need to have previous experience as a professional carer. We particularly welcome applications from people who have experience of caring for family members.

Duties



Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing. Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records as required.

Skills



Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with care home environments and home care practices is advantageous. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience while working with diverse populations.
