Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in Urgent Care Centres ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Your ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy will be crucial in fostering a supportive environment for those in your care.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding, promoting healthy eating habits. Maintain accurate records of care plans and daily activities, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance the emotional well-being of residents or clients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalised care strategies. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.

Skills

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Strong communication skills to build rapport with individuals in your care and their families. Experience or knowledge of care home settings and home care practices is advantageous. Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to client care. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
