We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position involves assisting with daily living activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for this role.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support residents in daily activities, promoting independence and dignity
Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or appointments
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable
Strong English language skills for effective communication
Basic IT skills to manage documentation and use relevant software
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations
A commitment to upholding the dignity and respect of all clients
