We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in care homes or in their own homes, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will play a vital role in implementing care plans and fostering a positive environment for those you assist.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed.
Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and follow care plans effectively.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Drive residents to appointments or social events when required.
Skills
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Proficiency in IT for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems.
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
