Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in care homes and home care settings. This position requires a commitment to supporting the well-being of our clients, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate any changes to the healthcare team. Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Engage with clients through meaningful conversation and companionship to enhance their emotional well-being. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Proficiency in IT for maintaining records and using electronic care management systems. Experience or knowledge of care home environments and home care practices is advantageous. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
