Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to follow care plans diligently, and have a genuine passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding. Monitor and report on the health and well-being of residents, ensuring that care plans are followed accurately. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents at all times. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care. Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or other duties related to resident support. Utilise IT systems to document care provided and update resident records as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans meticulously and adapt to the individual needs of residents. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles that require travel between locations. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to residents. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are advantageous.
