We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering personalised care, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate records of residents' health and progress, ensuring compliance with care standards.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on care and wellbeing.
Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or training sessions.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
Strong IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using healthcare software.
