Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals through home care services. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed. The Healthcare Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional well-being. Maintain accurate records of client care and update care plans as necessary. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as needed to provide services. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between client locations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial. A commitment to providing high-quality care and maintaining client dignity at all times. Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
