Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Worker to join our team . The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. The Healthcare Worker will work closely with clients in various settings, including senior care facilities, nursing homes, and hospice care environments.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide support with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client care and progress, adhering to case management protocols. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes in condition. Administer first aid as required and respond to emergencies promptly. Foster a supportive environment that encourages client independence and dignity. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Requirements

Previous experience in a support worker or similar role is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of medical terminology related to patient care is advantageous. Familiarity with hospice care practices and senior care principles is beneficial. Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing care. Certification in first aid is desirable. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring transportation of clients. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.00-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Monday to Friday Weekend availability
