Health and Safety Advisor

Due to winning new projects and engaging with new clients, Belcan are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer on a permanent basis. As a valuable member of the Health and Safety team, you will provide a health and safety focus, working with engineering teams, supporting various site locations around the UK to improve the company\'s HSE systems. The role will require your involvement in the measurement, management and implementation of these systems and policies. You will also be involved with providing strategic guidance to the business on all HSE matters.

As a Health and Safety Officer on board with Belcan you would also evaluate documentation and outcomes of accident/incident/near miss investigations and complete any formal reporting (RIDDOR) concluding solutions to any issues arising from them. They will also be at the forefront of Belcan obtaining the occupational health and safety management systems ISO45001, that Belcan is presently in process to obtain.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of health, safety and environmental systems. You will ideally have worked in an Engineering or manufacturing environment and have a NEBOSH Diploma or other relevant H&S qualifications alongside experience of ISO45001 (either implemented or maintained).
