Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to support a safe, compliant, and positive working environment across the business. You will ensure legal compliance, provide practical advice to teams, and drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance across our sites.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation
Maintain and review policies, procedures, risk assessments, and the Health & Safety Management System
Support SLT with policy development and improvement initiatives
Creation and maintenance of Health & Safety KPI dashboard for SLT
Prepare and review safety documentation including CPPs and RAMS
Conduct site audits and inspections, reporting findings and tracking actions
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and training; identify and coordinate training needs
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, maintaining accurate records and reports
Provide day-to-day health and safety advice to management, project teams, and subcontractors
Liaise with external bodies including HSE, clients, and auditors
Monitor performance data, promote best practice, and drive continuous improvement
Review subcontractor documentation and carry out pre-qualification safety assessments
Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years' health and safety experience within construction or electrical services
Experience with audits, inspections, training delivery, and incident investigations
Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation
Competent in risk assessments, method statements, and H&S documentation
Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team
Willing to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
Qualifications
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
NEBOSH Construction Cert (Essential)
Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH Minimum).
CSCS card (Essential)
