Job Description


We are looking for a passionate and experienced Health and Safety professional who is ready to make a significant impact to our business. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Regional Health and Safety Advisor covering sites across our Northern UK Region (will initially be based on a project in Cleethorpes, but will cover other projects up to and including Scotland).

Key Responsibilities:
As a Regional Health and Safety Advisor, you will:

  • Advise management on safety legislation and contribute to planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing protective measures.
  • Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager, assisting in induction, training, and toolbox talks.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Analyse accidents and incidents, providing valuable statistics for managerial insights.
  • Make recommendations for system improvements based on observations and experience.
  • Liaise with Local Authorities and other statutory bodies as required.
  • Prepare monthly Health and Safety Reports and manage information dissemination through various channels.

Essential Criteria:
  • Relevant Civil Works experience with high-level advisory and investigative skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK regulations (LOLER, Work at Height, Asbestos, Manual Handling, COSHH, CDM, PUWER 18001).
  • NEBOSH certification.
  • Training delivery skills with good IT proficiency.
  • Full current driving license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:
  • Post tensioning experience and/or experience working on Highways.
  • SMSTS Certificate, Master\xe2\x80\x99s level in relevant health and safety discipline.
  • First Aid trained and/or AP certified.
  • Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
