Trained to NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
CMIOSH (or working towards).
Nebosh Construction Certificate (Not Essential)
Strong communication skill - both verbally and written
Ability to work with all levels of staff, from Senior Managers to the Shop Floor.
Ability to use numerical skills to conduct trend analysis
Ability to deliver training - both practical and theory
Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail.
ISO 45001 Awareness preferred
Experience within the Engineering or Construction Industry preferred, but not essential.
Mental health first aid preferred but not essential
Job Role - General Principles
To facilitate implementation of BOA's Health, Safety & Quality policies and procedures across multiple sites.
To provide technical health and safety support to individual sites, business units and project delivery teams.
To ensure on-going monitoring of operatives compliance to the company's safe systems of work
To promote the principle that effective management of health and safety is an integral part of efficient business and operational management.
To produce, monitor and review risk assessments and safe systems of work & Construction Stage H&S Plans throughout the company and associated Construction sites.
To produce, monitor and review COSHH assessments throughout the company.
To attend installation sites to ensure that site specific health & safety requirements are complied with.
Implement a monitoring regime to cover activities which require occupational health monitoring throughout the production facility
Interact with BOA customers to ensure any specific client led initiatives are attended and communicated back through the business
Interact with external consultants such as auditors, insurers, pre-qualification assessors, occupational health monitoring and surveillance professionals and fire department etc.
Interact with the Health & Safety Executive to ensure compliance with legislation and guidelines
Produce group health, safety, quality & compliance Key Performance Indicator information to allow trend identification and monitoring
Ensure that all relevant health and safety information and documentation is communicated throughout the company. Ensuring BOA complies with all aspects of health and safety legislation throughout its industry sectors.

Pay: 50,000.00-55,000.00 per year
