Full Time - Apprenticeship

What will the apprentice be doing?

Key Responsibilities:

• Take a proactive approach to the implementation of health and safety initiatives and developing continuous improvement across the site
• Undertake and support routine safety tours and behavioural safety observations in all areas of the site
• Engage with employees, visitors and contractors on health and safety topics
• Record significant findings and act on any issues raised in a timely manner.
• Maintenance of the site health and safety management system, procedures, and action tracking ensuring correct data is reported to group level.
• To attend appropriate meetings to ensure that health and safety information is being communicated, issues are being dealt with and appropriate advice given
• Supporting the site hygiene and environment manager with environmental audits, monitoring systems and planning for emergencies

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

• During your apprenticeship you will undergo remote learning through live webinars, forums, one to ones with a dedicated learning coach. You will receive constant feedback and coaching through RHG\'s team of experienced learning coaches.

• You will gain the Level 3 Safety Health and Environment Technician Standard qualification, an IOSH approved Accident Investigation Certificate (additionally level 2 in English and Maths if not previously attained). You will be eligible to apply to the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) for Tech IOSH status on successful completion of your programme.
