Health & Safety / Maintenance Coordinator
to support our operations team and ensure our sites continue to meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied role supporting both health and safety compliance and general maintenance across our warehouses, offices, kitchen, and production areas. You'll help ensure our working environment is safe, well-maintained, and compliant with relevant legislation.
Duties
Maintain up-to-date
maintenance records and filing systems
, ensuring documentation is accurate and accessible.
Conduct and complete
risk assessments
across all sites, including warehouse, production, kitchen, and office areas.
Review and update
Health & Safety policies and procedures
in line with legislative or operational changes.
Carry out
monthly Health & Safety audits
and follow up on corrective actions.
Coordinate
annual servicing and certification
for all key equipment, including fire safety systems, alarms, extinguishers, and machinery.
Oversee and arrange
ad hoc repairs and maintenance
work as required, liaising with contractors and suppliers.
Complete and record
accident and incident reports
, ensuring investigations are carried out and preventative measures implemented.
Conduct
workplace inspections
to identify potential hazards or maintenance issues.
Support with
training coordination
, such as fire warden, manual handling, and first aid training.
Ensure
contractors' H&S compliance
when working on-site.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
Requirements
Previous experience in a
Health & Safety
or
Facilities / Maintenance
role (ideally within food manufacturing or production).
Confident using Microsoft Office for documentation and record-keeping.
Strong understanding of
H&S legislation
, risk assessments, and audit processes.
Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable liaising with internal teams and external contractors.
Practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and workplace safety.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From 15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
