Role Summary:

We're looking for a proactive and experienced

Health & Safety Manager

to lead our Health & Safety team and oversee the airport's Safety Management System. This key role ensures Birmingham Airport continues to deliver a safe and compliant working environment while supporting a strong safety culture across the business. You will provide expert guidance on health and safety legislation, manage our ISO45001 certification, and act as a trusted advisor across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor and develop the Health & Safety team to deliver a high-quality service Manage and continuously improve the airport's Safety Management System Maintain ISO45001 certification and coordinate external surveillance audits Provide competent advice on health and safety legislation (e.g. CDM, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, WAH) Identify health and safety training needs and coordinate delivery across the organisation Represent Health & Safety at internal and external meetings, forums and committees

Experience Required:

NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety Proven experience in a health and safety management role Experience within aviation or a high-risk industry (desirable but not essential) Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities effectively

Pay: 55,000.00-60,000.00 per year
