As part of our ongoing commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence, we are looking to appoint an experienced

Health & Safety Manager

to lead and develop our H&S function across the business.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior management, the Health & Safety Manager will take ownership of all health and safety matters across the site, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident operating on the shop floor as well as at management level.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and systems Ensure compliance with all relevant UK Health & Safety legislation and standards Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections across the site Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing reports and corrective actions Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and employee training Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors Monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement Support management in fostering a proactive and engaged safety culture
About You

Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing or industrial environment NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) - essential Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation Confident communicator able to engage with employees at all levels Practical, proactive, and solutions-focused approach Strong organisational and reporting skills

Desirable:



NEBOSH Diploma Experience managing ISO standards (e.g. ISO 45001) Environmental or quality system experience
