Nohow International Ltd have been engaged by a unique sub-contract Facades and Curtain Wall Company, who work with multiple major Principal Contractors in the UK. They're looking for a

Health and Safety Officer

to join the team. Salary depending on experience.

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Officer to oversee and conduct site audits, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing thorough audits across multiple sites, identifying any safety issues or non-compliance, and supporting the implementation of necessary corrective actions based on audit findings.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive health and safety audits on-site to assess compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Identify hazards, risks, and areas for improvement through detailed audit evidence. Provide clear, practical recommendations for corrective actions to address identified issues. Support site teams in implementing safety improvements and ensuring ongoing compliance. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and update audit procedures as needed. Maintain accurate records of audits, findings, and follow-up actions. Assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training and awareness programs. Stay current with relevant health and safety legislation and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in site health and safety auditing and compliance. Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and industry standards. Strong analytical and observational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to support and influence site teams to improve safety standards. Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH in Construction or equivalent) preferred.

Working Conditions:

Predominantly site-based with frequent visits to multiple locations. Office support for documentation and reporting one day a week in Basildon.
This position will require a self-starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-50,000.00 per year
