Job Description

Rooms and Views Manufacturing Ltd is a dynamic and rapidly expanding company specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of top-quality PVCu windows and doors, primarily catering to the new build market. Our consistent success has opened up an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Health & Safety Trainee based in our Buckley office. This full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, working from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Compliance & Standards and H&S Managers. The individual will be responsible for learning all aspects of the department and be able to progress their career via further learning with a view to achieving the ultimate H&S qualifications related to our business. Previous experience and knowledge in H&S is ideal, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Working with the team within the H&S Department, you will work towards the following key areas:

Health & Safety



Have an awareness of and willingness to learn Factory based H&S Have an awareness of and willingness to learn Construction H&S Be able to identify safe working procedures Be able to carry out regular site inspections ensuring a safe working environment Ensure that all H&S policies are adhered to Assist with creation and updating of risk assessments for work equipment and operations Ensure the Company meets statutory obligations for health, safety and welfare at work Work with Contracts Managers to create site specific RAMs and Pre-Start packs Learn to lead in-house training/tool box talk with employees on H&S issues Ensure that safety inspections are carried out e.g. fire drill and fire alarms Maintain records for incidents and accidents and produce statistics/dashboard Keep up to date with new legislation and working knowledge from HSE relevant to the business Advise on a range of areas related to H&S Liaise with suppliers, customers, insurers etc in the event of claims Be prepared to undertake job related training as and when required

Compliance & Standards



Ensure that all in house systems are inline with the quality manual Ensure that all systems meet the external certification bodies standards Champion & maintain improvement culture Look for opportunities to develop and improve systems Maintain control of documentation Review existing policies and suggest changes for improvement Ensure that all systems are in place to satisfy all customer requirements Maintain and analyse key performance indicators Carry out and manage external audits and testing Investigate completes/non-conformance for route cause and give feedback
To excel in this role (training will be given), the ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

Knowledge of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) Willingness to learn and obtain CSCS card and attend occupational courses Full UK Driving Licence Willingness for frequent travel across England and Wales, with some overnight stays
