Skills & Qualifications




Essential Skills and Experience




Teaching experience in secondary or further education (e.g. Health and Social Care, Psychology, Science or related subjects), ideally with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification A strong interest in the subject area (including up-to-date knowledge of any recent developments), backed up with an excellent academic record Strong research and analysis skills, with great attention to detail Ability to work independently and efficiently, and to communicate ideas and knowledge with clarity Ability to write in a creative, yet clear and coherent style

Minimum Qualification Level Required




2:1 or higher in a health-related degree (e.g. BSc in Health and Social Care / BA in Social work / BN Nursing / BSc Psychology) An A in a relatable A Level (e.g. Psychology, Biology) or a distinction in a Level 3 qualification (e.g. BTEC Nationals in Health and Social Care), plus two other A Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above. GCSE English at Grade C/5 or above

Additional Desirable Requirements




Practical experience in a Health Care or Social Care setting (e.g. healthcare assistant, social worker, nurse, physiotherapy, clinical researcher) Experience of writing in a professional context, e.g. freelance educational writing
