We're seeking a dedicated, supportive and empathic individual to support our residents in the role of Health & Wellbeing Support Worker/Driver.

The post holder will be required to support throughout the Service Users' day to day routines, promoting independence and autonomy wherever possible in a safe and comfortable environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following is an account of the principal duties of a Health and Well Being Support Worker/Driver
.
The duties and responsibilities will be varied, and the detail may change according to the Service Users you are providing care for and, any changes to the needs of the Service Users which will be documented in their care plans, risk assessment, policy, procedures, local and national guidance and directive.
What follows should be regarded as an outline rather than an exhaustive list:
To assist the nursing team in delivering safe and effective care to Service Users.
Supporting the completion and/or carrying out self-help tasks for those Service Users who are unable to do those tasks themselves; helping more abled Service Users who may also need assistance.
Provide assistance in self-help tasks in such a way that the Service Users have opportunities to learn new skills, maintain old ones and develop existing skills.
To offer support in a positive, engaging way, ensuring the rights of each Service Users are maintained.
To work with the Service Users ensuring their dignity, privacy and wishes are respected at all times.
To work in such a way as to offer support in a sensitive and respectful manner, taking account of the abilities, outcomes to be achieved, needs and wishes of the Service Users.
To engage with Service Users to enable their participation and choice.
Administering prescribed creams and applications under the direction of senior staff, and completing relevant documentation, i.e. TMAR charts
Offering non - judgmental general and practical guidance/advice and support to Service Users as the need arises.
Ensuring that Service Users are supported to make informed choices in order to make the most of new opportunities.
Enabling Service Users to access leisure activities/social events, agreed holidays and/or vocational opportunities and recreational interests of their choice, introducing new leisure activities and opportunities with their agreement in conjunction with the Activities Co-Ordinator.
Where required, drive company vehicles to accompany Service Users to and from appointments.
Drive company vehicles and support Service Users with external recreational practices as required and as per specific needs in line with care plans.
Be responsible for pre-journey checks in line with company policy.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.95-14.64 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
