We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Sudbury, a catergory D men's prison located in Ashbourne, Derbyshire.
Hours
The site currently offers 35 hours per week
7:30am - 5pm - 4 days a week
Salary
This position is 35 hours per week & you'll receive an annual salary up to 29,723 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
• Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
