Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be crucial in delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Help implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs. Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of client care and progress using IT systems. Foster a warm and supportive environment for clients through effective communication skills. Drive to clients' homes as needed, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to all driving regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are vital for effective interaction with clients and team members. Basic IT skills to manage documentation and client records efficiently. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team or independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
