Healthcare Assistant Days required for Oaklands Rest Home, Marchwood, SO40 4WW



Hours: 36 + per week to include Alternate weekends and Bank Holidays (Shift Times Days 8:00-20:00 / 08:00-14:00 / 14:00-20:00)



We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in our care home. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people living with dementia, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being is met at all times. The role requires excellent communication skills, organisational ability, and a caring attitude. Applicants should be committed to delivering personalized care that is tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobilizing Support individuals with their care, ensuring all needs are met with dignity and respect Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and their families. Assist with meal time where needed Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations Document using our online systems and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to senior staff Support with light domestic duties within the care setting Work well as part of a team, and use your own initiative when working alone.

Do you have the following to become part of our team?



Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but

not

essential; full training will be provided Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with colleagues and outside professionals, as well as building rapport with residents and their families. Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records. Ability to work flexibly according to rota requirements, including weekends and bank holidays. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals in need of assistance.

We are a dementia based care home, situated in the new forest.

Must be 18 or Older.

Please check the location of our home before applying due to public transport not being very reliable in relation to the shift patterns.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.55 per hour
