Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication management. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care. Help implement and monitor care plans tailored to individual needs. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to understand and follow care plans effectively. A compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on dignity and respect. IT proficiency for managing documentation and communication tools. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations.
