Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English and Turkish and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each individual's needs are met. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and progress. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the resident's condition. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or appointments. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations. Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using communication tools.
