St Mary's Surgical Centre are looking for a Healthcare Assistants to join team their bank pool. Working shifts in all departments as required, supporting the professional staff with the overall responsibility for all patients in the multiple departments.
You will be working as part of a friendly, welcoming and expert multidisciplinary team supported by our experienced Department Managers. As a valued member of the outpatients team ensuring that all treatments given meet individual patient needs, within the agreed patient care pathways.###
What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for assisting the nursing team with patient care, coordinating clinics, administration, stock control and equipment maintenance. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding. Enabling patients to make informed decisions about their treatment and general welfare and keep comprehensive records in respect of all patients. This role will have clinical and technical responsibilities along with some administrative duties working in different departments as required.

What we'll look for in you
An experienced individual with an NVQ level 2 in health and social care. There will be plenty of further learning opportunities including internal and external training modules if desired. It would be an advantage if you have worked in acute healthcare environment. More important though is your flexibility, your knowledge of infection control, belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload.
The ideal applicant will have
Have already achieved NVQ 2 in health and social care
Experience or a good understanding of a HCA duties and responsibilities
The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
Someone with the flexibility to cover bank shifts as required
