We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Outpatients department.


This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity. Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate. Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training). Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids. Report any concerns about a patient's condition or wellbeing promptly to the Registered Nurse or relevant clinician. Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary). Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude. Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately. Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills. Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
