Overview




We are looking to recruit a Part Time Healthcare Assistant to join our Aughnacloy Team. The successful applicant will be employed 2 days per week. The shifts are 12 hours long between 8am to 8pm, between Monday to Sunday.


Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Duties




You will work as a trained multi-skilled member providing various aspects of care to elderly residents. Training will be provided.


The Healthcare Assistant may be required to work in any department of the Home as stated below:

Personal Care Assist with all daily living activities, for example, washing, dressing, toileting/incontinence and assisting with mealtimes. Follow guidelines for safe movement of clients, using appropriate equipment where necessary. Kitchen All relevant kitchen related duties including basic meal preparation. Laundry Washing, drying and ironing duties Attend staff meetings and training sessions. Complete all paperwork accurately. Communicate regularly with the line manager. Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company. Obtain NISCC registration before employment and maintain during employment. Adhere to the NISCC Codes of Practice. Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines. Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times. Work as part of a team. Provide a quality service at all times.

Whilst the above is an outline of the duties you will be required to carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Essential Criteria



No experience necessary

Desirable Criteria



Kitchen or laundry experience in work or a voluntary setting Studying for or attained a care related qualification. Be registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)

Aughnacloy House is a purpose-built nursing home in the centre of Lurgan. All rooms are en-suite and there are beautiful gardens and outdoor areas for residents to enjoy. In addition, there are themed areas throughout the home for therapeutic activity and treatment including a light therapy suite and also a fully equipped hairdressing salon.
