We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Hewell, a catergory B men's prison located in Worcestershire
Hours
30 hours per week on a 4 week rolling rota
Weekends included
9 and a half hour shifts (3 days a week)
Salary
This position is part time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 24,669 - 28,690 per annum FTE -

What you'll be doing
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
• Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
