Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant with sign language experience or willing to learn sign language to join our team in providing compassionate care to individuals in various healthcare settings. Our companionship roles are between 2 to 8 hours and involve helping clients with access to community services to include outdoor entertainment activities and to travel in between their homes through out Bristol.

Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding
- Support patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Drive patients to appointments or outings when necessary
- Maintain accurate records and update care plans as required
- Provide assistance with medication administration and monitoring
- Utilize IT systems for documentation and communication

Requirements

- Experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Willing to learn or train for sign language
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
