Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities, promoting their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure the specific needs of each client are met. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in both care environments.

Skills

Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable. Proficient in English with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary. Familiarity with creating and following care plans to meet individual needs. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
