To prepare and ensure efficiency of clinic rooms, theatre and treatment equipment.
Maintain adequate clinical stock levels and general housekeeping.
To provide nursing support to doctors and specialist nurses to ensure efficient and effective provision of the full range of dermatological and nursing services to the patient.
Main duties and responsibilities
Undertake all duties in line with training and instruction provided by doctors/nurses.
Assistance at clinics ensuring patient care by chaperoning and assisting patients to undress/dress.
Conduct urine testing, weighing and blood pressure measurements as required.
Assist when required in minor surgical / theatre procedures.
Input of information into clinic system as required e.g. Pathology Log.
To become fully conversant with EMIS, the clinic's Patient Record System.
Ensure adequate clinical stock levels in Stock room, consulting rooms and theatre.
Work according to clinic guidelines, protocols and procedures.
Work well within the Multidisciplinary Team setting, demonstrating effective communication and information sharing.
Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and all patients contacts are documented appropriately.
Infection Prevention and Control
The prevention and management of acquired infection is a key priority for St Michael's Clinic. The post holder is required to ensure, as an employee, that their work methods re compliant with the clinic's agreed policies and procedures and do not endanger other people or themselves.
