We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for those in their care. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
Responsibilities
Support clients with mobility and physical activities as needed.
Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition is provided.
Maintain accurate records of client care and progress in accordance with care plans.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living space for clients.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary.
Requirements
Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is required
Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining client records is advantageous.
Ability to implement personalised care plans based on individual client needs.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as required.
A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
