Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our residents. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility assistance. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff. Foster a positive and engaging environment through effective communication and interaction with residents. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care home facilities. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
