Job Introduction

BPP School of Healthcare and Nursing is seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Lecturer to join our academic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated healthcare professional who is eager to share their expertise and inspire the next generation of nurses through higher education.


In this role, you will contribute to the delivery, development, and continuous enhancement of our academic programmes. Your responsibilities will include a range of activities such as teaching and training, curriculum and content design, assessment creation and marking, personal tutoring, and cohort and group management.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and deliver a high-quality learning experience following pre-prepared content as well as assessing students work in a marking capacity Maintain a sophisticated understanding of the current skills and capability requirements of the Healthcare industry, as well as key health developments Create, update and develop module content in line with university content creation policies and quality standards Ensure that students are appropriately supported and provided with timely and constructive guidance for their academic development Ensuring that all academic policies and procedures of the BPP University are adhered to Bring professional and practitioner expertise with an understanding of the current healthcare landscape to the development and delivery of programmes Working closely with Operational Teams and Module Leaders to deliver an exceptional and consistent student experience Maintain and enhance CPD, professional registration and scholarly activity Any other duties appropriate to the role

Role Requirements

Desirable



Qualifications





BSc Nursing (Any field) or equivalent qualification; Current and up to date NMC registration

A Level 7 (post-graduate) or equivalent qualification; Other industry related professional accreditations and/or certifications. A teaching qualification (PGLCT/PGCE) or a Fellowship of the HEA membership.

Experience





Extensive professional experience in a Nursing role Recent and up to date clinical practice Teaching experience either in clinical practice or higher education

Skills





Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent presentation skills; The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload; The ability to work well in a team and be collaborative; Commerciality; Digital literacy; Self-motivation.
