We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and suitably qualified HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist, to apply for Fixed Term Band 8a post of Blood Science Laboratory Manager within the Blood Sciences Department at Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Effective organisational and communication skills are essential, and you must have the ability to work and manage a team efficiently.
This post is a fixed term/secondment position for 18 months, the post holder will act as the Laboratory Lead for Hywel Dda University Health Board Blood Science Service in Prince Philip hospital in Llanelli.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and quality of the work within the Blood science team in Prince Philip hospital. They will provide expert advice, and guidance to operational managers, site managers and other senior staff to ensure maintenance of the blood science service.
Duties will include, but not be limited to, collaborating with clinical leads to manage risks to ensure patient safety, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in their field allowing opportunities for quality improvement and ensuring an efficient and effective service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
