EAU4 is a friendly 24 bedded medical assessment ward. We take medical patients and have close contact with both our Emergency department and the Acute Medical Unit to create flow between our areas.
Our aim is to facilitate high quality care whilst focusing on discharge planning early on or transferring patients to specialist wards if needed.
Working with the multi-disciplinary team, as a Healthcare Support Worker you will be responsible for assisting the nursing staff to improve and maintain high standards of care, health and well-being of patients through assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
This is a fast-paced department and would benefit from someone who is looking for a challenge and has experience in an acute setting.
To act with professionalism and integrity, being a role model to those around us and ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity.
To provide a service that is tailored to meet the needs of the individual and to understand what our patients/customers need and be adaptable and responsive
To provide a high quality customer service which complies with relevant legislation and NHS Employment check standards.
To be honest and learn from mistakes, and help to create a "no-blame" culture were people feel able to share and learn from experiences together
To work as part of a team demonstrating effective communication, and working collaboratively with colleagues inside and out of the department.
Patient comfort and well being are paramount.
