Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety and Quality Coordinator to join our team. The Safety and Quality Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, conducting training sessions, and monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations along with ensuring Quality procedures are being followed.. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate safety protocols and foster a culture of safety within the organisation.

Responsibilities:



Health and Safety Responsibilities::



Providing a safe workplace Risk Assessments Developing and implementing policies Training and information Supervision and monitoring Provision of resources Fostering a positive safety culture Leadership and vision: Setting the strategic direction for health and safety and quality management. Resource allocation: Providing the necessary resources for effective health and safety management. Promoting a safety culture: Leading by example and encouraging a positive attitude towards safety. Monitoring performance: Ensuring the effectiveness of the health and safety management system. Continuous improvement: Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Actioning Employee Responsibilities:



Following instructions: Adhering to all health and safety procedures and instructions. Taking reasonable care: Being mindful of their own safety and the safety of others. Reporting hazards: Informing their employer of any hazards or potential risks. Cooperating with safety measures: Participating in training and using safety equipment provided. Avoiding risks: Taking responsibility for their actions and avoiding any unnecessary risks.

Quality Management Responsibilities:



Establishing quality standards: Defining clear quality objectives and standards for products, services, and processes. Implementing quality control procedures: Developing and implementing procedures to monitor and control quality. Promoting a quality culture: Encouraging a mindset where quality is a priority throughout the organization. Addressing non-conformities: Investigating and resolving any quality issues or deviations from standards. Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Risk Assessment:Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures. Developing and implementing policies:Creating and communicating health and safety policies and procedures, including emergency plans. Training and information:Providing appropriate training for all employees to understand risks and safe working practices. Supervision and monitoring:Ensuring that safety procedures are followed and that the workplace is safe. Provision of resources:Supplying necessary safety equipment, first aid provisions, and other resources. Fostering a positive safety culture:Promoting a culture where safety is a priority and employees feel comfortable raising concerns.

Requirements



Proven experience in a health and safety role or similar position. Able to Train the trainer for Manual Handling/Gantry/Abrasive wheels etc Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices. Certification in First Aid is highly desirable. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively. Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to identify hazards and implement effective solutions. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels of the organisation. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
